In case you needed more to determine that CNN is a joke, not serious, nor a news station. Last year, a prediction it touted on skyrocketing gas prices came back to haunt the network.
CNN reporter Matt Egan published a Dec. 8 “story” with a foolish headline that needs no explanation in light of recent news on gas prices: “Gas prices will tumble below $3 a gallon soon, government forecasts.”
Egan wrote in his December 8, 2021, piece that, “Prices at the pump have finally started to creep lower, and that trend should significantly accelerate in the coming months, according to new government forecasts.” To bolster his argument further, Egan even touted how “Citigroup went further Tuesday, saying the energy boom that is fanning the flames of inflation is over.”
So, GOVERNMENT FORCAST, some “group” made a prediction! They were very close, only over by $2.12 per gallon. Great stuff Central News Network.
