An elementary school in Fort Collins, Colorado was exposed for secretly transitioning a student, after internal emails were leaked. The emails were reportedly exchanged between the school staff and parents of the student, who was transitioning from a male to a female identity. DailyMail has the details.
Laurel Elementary School Assistant Principal, Amanda Pawelski, and Poudre School District Chief Equity Officer, Marlena Gross-Taylor, were caught in leaked emails discussing going behind a parent’s back to instruct an elementary school student by their preferred pronouns.
The emails revealed that the school staff had taken steps to conceal the student’s transition from the rest of the student body and parents, including changing the student’s name in school records and allowing the student to use the girls’ restroom. The school district is now facing criticism from parents and community members who were not informed or consulted about the student’s transition.
**The school district, nor the school have NO RIGHT TO CONCEAL ANY FRICKEN THING FROM PARENTS.
The school district released a statement in response to the leak, stating that they respect the privacy and dignity of all students and that they have policies in place to support transgender students. They also stated that they are committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all students, including those who are transgender.
This incident has sparked a larger conversation about the rights of parents, as well as the importance of transparency and communication between school staff and parents.
Somehow, the school is taking liberty with kids they don’t own, parents do. And parents are the ones that make the call on everything that is THEIR CHILD.
