Fox News reports, on U.S. households and federal income taxes in 2021 and attribute their findings from a non-partisan group they say. This group seems to be spinning something about how great the Covid relief money was for Americans. The “COVID-19 relief” spending in the form of tax credits and stimulus payments. Why does it seem that Fox News is being gullible? Americans should be thanking democrats for their handouts! Even though this is considered income…. The real point on this is NON-partisan GROUP….. really??
A recent analysis from the nonpartisan Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center estimated that 57% of Americans paid no taxes last year. While that’s down slightly from last year’s 60%, it marks a significant increase from the 44% recorded before the pandemic began.
Because the stimulus checks were designed as refundable tax credits, they significantly reduced tax liability in both 2020 and 2021, the analysis said. And in some cases, the checks flipped some households from paying income tax to not doing so.
“The number of households who paid no income tax last year truly was eye-popping,” Tax Policy Center Senior Fellow Howard Gleckman wrote. “But keep in mind: It was only temporary.”
I had to spend 20 minutes to dig down to find out this is TOTAL BULLSHIT. The Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center is run by democrat leaders. All part of HARVARD and this NON-partisan GROUP. They gave money to democrats and have been a part of the Oblama Administration.
