Apparently during a press conference Monday, February 5, 2017 in the morning, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) referred to President Trump as “President Bush.” In a ongoing rant, Pelosi stumbled over her words as she called out “President Bush” for being unreasonable since his “inauguration.”
She is losing it! Where is the media re-playing this? This is what she said:
While it’s only a couple of weeks since the inauguration, there’s complete evidence, there’s prac–we’ve seen nothing that we can work— that I can work with President Bush on, and I’m disappointed because I thought that there might be some interest because of what he said in the campaign which turns out to be not true, a hoax and really dangerous to the economic stability of Americans working families.
The video of her outtake is on YouTube.
NewsBusters has highlighted that media people tend to have double standards. Below is their take.
Whether this was an admission that the “blame Bush” era still isn’t over for Democrats or it was just a “senior moment,” Pelosi doesn’t acknowledge her mistake and the media doesn’t either. None of the networks reported the verbal slip on their morning or evening shows yesterday or this morning.
You can imagine if this was a 76-year-old Republican making a similar mistake, the media would have a field day in gossiping whether or not they were “senile.”
In fact, we’ve documented the numerous occasions when the media hit a Republican over the head repeatedly about their gaffe, while completely ignoring similar ones from Democrats.
When you even have news networks making listicles of Republican gaffes, but calling Democrat gaffes, “charming,” then there’s an obvious double-standard.
What I want to know is why the good people of the 43rd district of California keep voting this woman into office? Are they stupid?
Obviously so. She is nothing but an idiot. I’d be embarrassed if I were them.
