After such obvious support of Hillary Clinton this past election cycle, and such utter shock of her losing on November 8th, so called “Journalism” took a hit. They are engrossed in self introspection and reflection as to how could this happen?
For one such Journalist, Will Rahn, a political correspondent and managing director, politics, for CBS News Digital has found a clue.
Out on the road, we forget to ask the right questions. We can’t even imagine the right question. We go into assignments too certain that what we find will serve to justify our biases. The public’s estimation of the press declines even further — fewer than one-in-three Americans trust the press, per Gallup — which starts the cycle anew.
At least he gets a few things right. He admits to journalists calling Trump supporters names and mocking them.
Our theme now should be humility. We must become more impartial, not less so. We have to abandon our easy culture of tantrums and recrimination. We have to stop writing these know-it-all, 140-character sermons on social media and admit that, as a class, journalists have a shamefully limited understanding of the country we cover.
So do you think that the rest will follow suite and start to report facts? I don’t think so, they are part of the “Elite”. So they think…
Here are some choice words from other readers of Will Rahn’s story.

Sorry, Mr. Rahn, your epiphany is far too late and you don’t have any credibility anyway.
The fact is that in its current form, the MSM is irredeemable. No amount of time that you spend outside your liberal bubble will ever eliminate your ingrained hatred of people who don’t follow, in lockstep, the ever-changing Democratic line.
Did you read the NYT and the WaPo on Wednesday morning? Of all the articles on the election, do you know how many refrained from accusing Trump or his supporters of racism? Zero. That’s right, zero.
Those of us who believe in America and the Constitution have a special response to elitists who accuse us of racism. It’s very pithy: F*ck you.
And that is what we told you throughout the campaign — you were booed and jeered at Trump rallies because you DESERVED to be — and on Tuesday. And that sentiment will continue until you disappear from the face of the earth.
None of your suggestions — even if they were adopted, which they won’t be — will have the slightest effect. You are hopeless, useless, believed and trusted by only a tiny fraction of Americans, and quickly being supplemented by other technologies.
As liberals, you are incapable of rational thought; everything is emotion to you, and because you don’t have the knowledge and skills and temperament to discuss issues in a civil manner, you resort to your one-size-fits-all screams of racism and sexism. Here’s our response: F*ck you.
I strongly recommend that you find yourself another career. Your current one has no future at all.

This was not a mistake, a blunder, a misunderstanding. The MSM are corrupt as hell.
Stuff it Mr. Rahn

Give me a break–reporters act like they WANT a country in turmoil. Before he even gave an acceptance speech, the press was harping on DOW futures dropping 900 points. (No one reported that the next day the DOW was up.) Now it’s the manufactured protests. Sorry, but we don’t believe you because we have seen this before: The press does an introspective analysis of what went wrong and then it’s a new day and they go back to bashing anyone to the right of their views.

Sadly, Mr. Rahn has missed the REAL STORY, which is that in an era of widespread FAKE NEWS created largely offshore to serve as clickbait—or worse as part of a deliberate misinformation campaign—very few people even paid attention to real journalists.
He can point fingers at journalists all he wants, but he’s living in the past. Journalists didn’t have much effect on this election. Memes and headlines that were blantently concocted, yet shared by millions on social media, is what “informed” public opinion this time around.
Anyone who cares about facts should be alarmed that disinformation can now spread like wildfire. I hope the social media platforms build in ranking signals similar to search engines before we have to do this again.
As you can read, no Love for the bias news reporters and so called journalists. This sounds to me that news agencies are going to be defunct. Others will be replacing them on the internet, like Breitbart News.
